We are excited to welcome Sarah Naylor to the Adolescent Dogs team.

Sarah joins us with 17 years of professional experience working with dogs and their owners. As part of our standard onboarding process, all new trainers complete a practical assessment period, allowing us to determine the most appropriate trainer level within our team structure. During this time, trainers begin under a Junior Trainer placement while they demonstrate their skills and experience across a range of training scenarios.

Having successfully run her own pet care and dog walking business since 2009, Sarah brings a wealth of practical knowledge, a genuine passion for animal welfare, and a calm, supportive approach to training that we know our clients and dogs will benefit from.

Sarah lives with her two children, aged 9 and 10, alongside her two dogs, Rhubarb, a Collie, and Vinnie, a Terrier. Vinnie previously enjoyed agility training with Sarah and, at nearly 14 years old, is now happily enjoying a well-earned retirement. The family also share their home with a resident cat named Broccoli, who has his own dedicated space within the house but is equally happy to socialise with dogs when he chooses.

Outside of her work with dogs, Sarah owns a retired racehorse and a pony for her children, reflecting her lifelong passion for animal care and training.

Training Environment

Based near Ascot, Bracknell, and Windsor, Sarah has access to a wide variety of training locations and environments. She holds a professional pass for Swinley Forest, providing access to extensive woodland trails and diverse training opportunities.

She also has access to local farmland, woodlands, bridleways, and public footpaths, allowing dogs to gain experience in a variety of real-world settings. The area offers excellent opportunities for socialisation and distraction training, including exposure to:

  • Sheep and cattle

  • Horses and equestrian facilities

  • Woodland wildlife

  • Walkers, cyclists, and runners

  • Busy public spaces and trails

These varied environments help dogs build confidence, focus, and reliability in everyday situations.

Qualifications & Experience

Sarah holds:

  • Canine First Aid Certification

  • Certificate in Animal Management and Welfare Training

  • 17 years of professional pet care and dog handling experience

Training Philosophy

Sarah has a particular passion for obedience training and enjoys helping dogs develop the skills they need to thrive in the real world. Her focus is on building confidence, creating clear communication between dogs and their owners, and helping dogs feel calm and relaxed in a wide variety of environments.

She believes that every dog can learn and succeed when training is tailored to their individual needs, and she is committed to using kind, effective, force-free methods to help dogs and their families achieve their goals.

We are delighted to have Sarah join the team and look forward to supporting her through her assessment period and welcoming the expertise, dedication, and enthusiasm she brings to Adolescent Dogs.
