Lia Tomkins, PPG
Senior Trainer Staffordshire

Lia joined our team in 2025 as Senior Trainer and has quickly become a fantastic addition.

A proud member of the Pet Professional Guild, Lia is dedicated to modern, science-based, and force-free training methods that focus on rewarding desired behaviours and strengthening the bond between dogs and their owners.

With a professional background as a dog trainer since 2009 and a horse trainer since 2002, Lia brings a wealth of experience working with a wide variety of breeds, temperaments, and behavioural challenges. She has a particular passion for working with larger breeds and dogs displaying reactivity, though she’s equally skilled with smaller dogs.

Lia lives on a spacious property with her two well trained dogs — a German Shepherd and a Jack Russell — alongside horses, cats, and children. This provides the perfect environment for exposing dogs to a wide range of everyday sights, sounds, and experiences. Her proximity to towns, garden centres, parks, woodlands, and farms also offers plenty of opportunities for real-world, distraction-proof training.
