Schnauzer Residential Dog Training Transformation | Archie’s 4 Week Progress After four weeks with us, Archie the Schnauzer has officially completed his residential dog training stay 🖤🐶 And what an incredible journey it’s been. When Archie first arrived, the world felt like a pretty overwhelming place. Like many dogs struggling with reactivity and anxiety, he found it difficult to cope with busy environments, became heavily fixated on everything happening around him, and found it hard to focus on his handler when out on walks. Everyday situations often felt stressful, making it difficult for Archie to relax, switch off, and feel confident in the world around him. Over the last four weeks, we've focused on helping Archie build confidence, engagement, emotional regulation, and the skills needed to navigate life more calmly and successfully. His heel work has improved massively, his engagement is significantly stronger, and he is now much better able to work through challenging situations without becoming overwhelmed. When they first arrived, everyday life had become increasingly stressful both at home and out in public. Living in a busy part of London meant constant exposure to people, dogs, traffic, and high-stimulation environments — and over time, the dogs had developed strong reactive behaviours that made walks and daily life difficult to manage.
