Katie joined our team in 2016 and has since become one of our most trusted and accomplished Advanced Senior Trainers. As the owner of two dogs—a Pug and a Cocker Spaniel—she brings genuine, hands-on experience of living with and training dogs of different breeds, ages, and needs.

This real-life insight, combined with her professional expertise, makes her a go-to choice for families seeking knowledgeable, compassionate support.

Katie is a Professional Member of the Pet Professional Network (PPN), a member of the Pet Professional Guild for Force-Free Dog Trainers (PPG), and an Approved Instructor with the Dog Training College.

With extensive experience across classes, workshops, residential and one-to-one training, Katie has worked with a wide variety of dogs and owners, earning a reputation for delivering consistently high standards and excellent results.

She is deeply committed to continuing professional development, regularly attending advanced courses and seminars and collaborating with other leading professionals to stay at the forefront of modern, evidence-based dog training and behaviour.

Alongside her professional work, Katie volunteers with Rainbows, supporting young children with a variety of additional needs. This experience strengthens her ability to work sensitively with families whose dogs are training to become assistance dogs, and further highlights her calm, patient, and empathetic approach.

Katie is a passionate advocate of reward-based, force-free training, using food, toys, games, and praise to create positive learning experiences that dogs genuinely enjoy.

Welfare is always her priority, and as a 5-star licensed home boarder with Guildford Borough Council, she provides an exceptional level of care, safety, and enrichment.

To ensure outstanding results, Katie works with just one to two dogs at a time, offering a truly personalised and exclusive training experience tailored to each dog’s individual needs.

Her location, close to both a busy town and the Surrey Hills, allows her to carefully select environments that best support each dog’s learning and confidence. Katie specialises in working with small to medium dogs and is particularly sought after for puppies requiring early socialisation, as well as older dogs with more complex or specific training needs.

Clients value her clear communication and dedication, with regular photos and videos provided to keep owners fully involved in their dog’s progress. As a core contributor to our Online Academy, Katie shares her expertise through live sessions and in-depth video tutorials, supporting academy members with practical guidance and professional insight.

Katie also offers a uniquely rich training setup, with access to children aged 1, 10 and 13 for dogs needing structured exposure around kids, alongside a variety of animal companions including dog-savvy cats and giant tortoises—further enhancing her ability to support dogs in real-world family environments
