Katie is one of our Advanced Senior Trainers and is a valued member of the team. She is proud to be a Professional Member of the Pet Professional Network (PPN), a member of the Pet Professional Guild for Force Free Dog Trainers (PPG) and a Dog Training College Approved Instructor.

Katie has assisted at classes & workshops for many years, giving her experience working with a variety of dogs and their owners.

She is committed to continuing her education and following progressions in dog training methods, and furthering her understanding of behaviour. She has built a wealth of experience since joining Adolescent Dogs and has worked with a wide range of dogs and clients.

Alongside this, she regularly undertakes courses and seminars, as well as connecting with fellow dog professionals to broaden her knowledge and keep up-to-date with new research.

Katie is passionate about reward-based training and all of her training is done using treats, toys, games and lots of praise to ensure your dog enjoys their stay and learns effectively whilst maintaining high welfare standards.

She is also a 4* licenced home boarder with Guildford Borough Council, achieving a high level of welfare standards for dogs in her care. She only takes in 1 to 2 dogs for training at any one time, so is able to offer a more personal and exclusive training service.

Based near a busy town, Katie has access to a range of environments which enables her to personalise the training she offers to match every dog’s individual needs.

Katie specialises in working with small dogs (15kg and under).

She is an excellent match for puppies who need early socialisation and training, as well as older dogs who have specific training needs. Katie will always go the extra mile to ensure your dogs training is tailored to your needs and loves sending plenty of photos and videos during a stay to keep your mind at ease.

She also assists on our online academy, using her knowledge and training skills to offer support to our academy members. She regularly partakes in ‘live’ videos and video tutorials to offer an insight into her training and provide members with additional guidance.

She benefits from access to the Directors 2 children (8 yrs & 11 yrs) for dogs who need training around kids, as well as their 3 dog savvy cats, their 6 goats and giant tortoises. Katie has 3 dogs of her own, an older Labrador, Pug and a Cocker Spaniel.
