Honor brings a unique blend of psychological expertise and lived experience to her work as a trainee dog trainer with Adolescent Dogs.

Having trained her own two assistance dogs through the Adolescent Dogs Assistance Dog Academy, she developed a deep passion for supporting both dogs and people with disabilities through positive, force-free training methods.

Her background as a psychologist — with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Stirling and a Master’s Degree in Learning Disabilities from the University of Liverpool — gives her a strong foundation in understanding behaviour, emotional regulation, and human–animal connection. Her research focused on promoting friendship and social inclusion for adults with complex disabilities, a field she believes aligns closely with the life-changing impact of therapy and assistance dogs.

Honor is currently completing her Level 3 Diploma in Assistance Dog Training with Animal Courses Direct and continues to expand her knowledge through mentoring with senior Adolescent Dogs trainers, weekly Academy sessions, and specialist seminars such as Sarah Whitehead’s The Highly Sensitive Dog.

She is also Co-Director of Milano ADHD and Neurodiversity Empowerment Ltd, where she provides advocacy and training on neurodiversity and assistance dog access rights.

Living in North Yorkshire with her two Labradors, Cedric and Honey, Honor combines compassion, patience, and evidence-based practice to help each dog develop the confidence and skills they need to support their handlers in daily life. Her calm, thoughtful approach and dedication to empowering others make her a valued member of the Adolescent Dogs team.
