Bekki is one of our Advanced Senior Instructors, bringing over 10 years of professional dog training experience. She holds a BSc Degree in Animal Behaviour and Wildlife Conservation, is an Approved Instructor with the Dog Training College, and is a proud member of the Pet Professional Guild.

Bekki has extensive experience training dogs to high standards, including residential training and working with assistance dogs. Her expertise includes training medical alert dogs and therapy dogs to support individuals with anxiety, autism, and various physical disabilities.

In addition to her professional work, Bekki spent 4 years volunteering at a local rescue centre, assisting with the training and rehoming of rescue dogs.

Her dedication to animal welfare and her passion for reward-based training are at the heart of her approach. Bekki uses positive reinforcement techniques, incorporating treats, toys, games, and plenty of praise to ensure that every dog in her care learns effectively while enjoying the process.

Bekki offers training from her family home, where she lives with her 3-year-old son, her Cocker Spaniel Raven, and her cat. She also has access to horses, cows, sheep, llamas, chickens, pigs and often involves her young nieces and nephews in the training process, providing a well-rounded and family-oriented environment ideal for socialisation.

Her local training grounds include diverse environments such as woodlands, town areas, and the beach, providing dogs with a variety of real-world experiences. To maintain a personalised and exclusive experience, Bekki limits her intake to just three dogs at a time, ensuring each dog receives focused, individualised care.

George the Labrador | 3 Weeks Residential Dog Training

After six weeks of residential training, it’s time for us to wish a fond farewell to Earl, the striking greyhound who travelled all the way from Ireland to join us. An ex-racer with a lovely personality, Earl arrived with a few challenges – especially when it came to impulse control and a strong prey drive. Chasing small animals was a bit too tempting for him, and his recall needed some serious work. He also had a habit of jumping up when excited and barking at passers-by. Over the past few weeks, we’ve focused on helping Earl adjust to life away from the racecourse. He’s been learning how to walk nicely on the lead, respond more reliably to his handler, and settle calmly in a range of different situations. With patience and consistency, Earl has made brilliant progress and is much more confident in himself and his surroundings. He has made some good strides towards being calmer around animals, that said, due to his past training and experiences on the track, Earl will continue to wear a muzzle when out and about around other animals. This is a precaution we believe is important for everyone’s safety and comfort. It doesn’t take away from the lovely, gentle boy he is – it simply gives him and those around him the security they need while he continues to learn. To help with this we have been working on some muzzle training too so he is comfortable when wearing one. Earl is a sweet-natured boy with a big heart, and we’ve loved watching him grow during his time here. He heads home with new skills and a great foundation for the future – we’re so proud of how far he’s come and excited for what lies ahead for him. Well done Earl 💚
