Meet the team


Adolescent Dogs was founded in 2006 by Jenny Trigg - she now runs the company alongside her partner Mike Newland and their team of 16 instructors who have collectively helped to train over 10,000 dogs and their owners.


All of the training is based on modern, positive, reward based methods, with emphasis on building a good relationship with your dog.  The team have over 60 years experience between them, sharing years of knowledge and expertise to get the very best results from every single dog who stays with us for training.  Our trainers are fully insured and home checked for your peace of mind.  Our trainers are expected to continue their professional development by attending courses/seminars or online webinars/courses each year.

Rebecca Trotman, GODT, PPG ADIC/AJ  Advanced Junior Trainer, Godalming


Rebecca has recently been promoted to Advanced Junior Instructor and is attending regular seminars and courses to continue growing her knowledge and expertise.  Rebecca has lots of experience working with a variety of dogs and has run a successful dog boarding and walking business.   
She has 1 dog of her own, a 6 year old Hungarian Vizsla, and offers training in her family home with 2 children (8 & 11). Rebecca has access to her friends farm, giving access to horses, sheep and goats for training and socialisation opportunities.


Rebecca has experience training puppies, adult dogs, rescue dogs and nervous dogs.

Andrea Psotova, ADIC/AJ Advanced Junior Instructor, Pulborough, West Sussex


Andrea has recently joined the team as an Advanced Junior Instructor.  She has over 4 years experience training dogs and has been teaching classes in Prague.  Her own dog Connie has competed in the top level of obedience, achieving 3rd place and she specialises in competition tracking.  Andrea has 1 dog of her own and 1 child (1 yr)


Andrea has experience working with puppies, adult dogs, rescue dogs, assistance dogs and nervous dogs.

Petra Uhrova, ADIC/ASAdvanced Senior Instructor. Redhill, Surrey


Petra
 has been training alongside Jenny & Mike for over 5 years and is a valued member of the team.  She has experience working with a variety of breeds, and gets excellent results with challenging dogs as well as puppies.  She also owns 2 dogs of her own, 2 Boxers called Phoebe and Keeper.


Petra has experience working with puppies, adult dogs, rescue dogs, blind dogs, assistance dogs, nervous dogs and dogs with aggression towards people and dogs.

Naomi White, BSc (Hons), ADIC/AS Advanced Senior Instructor, Guildford


Naomi has been training with the team for over 2 years and is one of our Advanced Senior Trainers. She has completed a Degree in Animal Behaviour & Welfare, and has fostered and trained dogs for Canine Partners for over 8 years.


She provides training in a quiet home with 1 dog of her own, a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. Naomi has regular access to the Directors two children and cats.


Naomi has experience training puppy's, adult dogs, blind dogs, assistance dogs, rescue dogs, nervous dogs, and dogs with aggression towards dogs and people


Sarah Coombe, GODT, ADICAS Advanced Senior Instructor.  Guildford


Sarah has worked alongside Adolescent Dogs for over 6 years and has ac
cess to over 100 acres of private woodland.  She offers a rare opportunity for friendly dog socialisation via her dog walking company and has experience training a variety of breeds.  Sarah specialises in working with aggressive dogs and behavioural issues, but also enjoys working with puppy's, adult dogs, rescue dogs, nervous dogs and dogs with high prey drive.

Iona Duckett,  Trainee, Shrewsbury


Iona is has been on the team as a Trainee for over 5 months and trains alongside our Advanced Senior Trainer Ola several times a week. She is able to offer training in a quiet family environment and has access to cats and livestock for training opportunities. She has an extended diploma in Animal Management and owns a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog

Katie Brown, ADIC/S Senior Instructor,  Guildford, Surrey


​Katie  has been part of the team for over 2 years and is one of our Senior Instructors.  She specialises in working with small to medium breeds of dog (under 20kg) and gets lots of 5 star reviews. She's recently completed a Diploma in Animal Psychology and an Extended Diploma in Animal Management 


Katie offers a quiet family environment with 3 dogs of her own, an older Labrador, a Basset Hound mix and a Pug. She also has regular access to the Directors two children and cats.


Katie has experience working with puppy's, adult dogs, rescue dogs, nervous dogs, assistance dogs and dogs with aggression towards dogs and people

Natalie Meier, ADIC/ASAdvanced Senior Instructor.  Worcester.


Natalie is an Advanced Senior Instructor and a valued member of the team.  She owns 2 Belgian Shepherds, both of whom are trained to a high level and 2 Miniature Dachshunds. This has enabled her to get excellent results with even the most challenging of dogs. Natalie offers training in a quiet family environment, with a 10 year old child of her own


Natalie has experience getting results with puppies, adult dogs, rescue dogs, assistance dogs, nervous dogs and dogs with dog to dog aggression.

Ola Kordas, ADICAS  Advanced Senior Trainer, Shrewsbury, Shropshire

Ola is one of our Advanced Senior Trainers and is a valued member of the team.

She has over 14 years experience training dogs and successfully competes to a world class level in agility with her own Border Collies, including competing at Crufts 2019.  She also runs her own agility classes, workshops and events. Ola also has access to horses, cattle and sheep for additional training.  Ola gets excellent results with puppies, adult dogs, rescue dogs, nervous dogs, dogs with behavioural issues, and dogs who are aggressive towards dogs and people

Libby Trigg, ADIC/AS Advanced Senior Instructor.  Guildford, Surrey.


Libby has trained alongside Jenny and Mike for the past 8 years and is a valued member of the team.  She specialises in training small to medium sized dogs in our residential training programmes and has a 100% success and feedback rate from clients.    Libby offers training in a family environment, with 2 children of her own (9yrs and 10 yrs). She also has regular access to the Directors two younger children and cats.  Libby is an experienced trainer who gets excellent results with puppy's, adult dogs, rescue dogs, assistance dogs, nervous dogs and dogs with dog to dog aggression.

Bekki Averill-Tomkins, BSc (hons), ADIC/AJ  

Senior Trainer, Southampton


Bekki has been training dogs for over 5 years and is one of our Senior Trainers.  She has experience working with assistance dogs, training dogs for diabetic alert and therapy dogs for anxiety and autism. 


Bekki offers training in a quiet family home, with 1 dog and a cat of her own. She has access to a farm with horses and cows, as well as nieces and nephews for additional training.


Bekki has experience working with puppy's, adult dogs, rescue dogs, nervous dogs, dogs with behavioural issues and dogs with aggression towards dogs and people.

Shamyla Gascoigne, FdSc, ADIC/J Junior Trainer, East Grinstead


Shamyla is one of our newest team members and has joined us as a Junior Trainer. She has an FdSc Degree in Canine Behaviour and Training and has trained dogs in competitive obedience, agility, gundog work, flyball and assistance training, and has experience with puppy socialisation and breeding. 

She lives in a busy family home with her husband and 4 children as well as her 3 dogs - Border Collie and 2 working cocker spaniels.  She lives local to open fields, both quiet and busy with people and dogs, Ashdown Forest, town, train station and dog friendly family attractions.

Mike Newland, MGODT, PPG

Company Director & Head Behavioural Consultant


Mike runs Adolescent Dogs with his partner Jenny Trigg and is the Head Instructor and Behavioural Consultant for the company.  Mike and Jenny very occasionally take dogs in for training and offer training in a busy family home around children, cats and dogs.

Kate Dunn,  Trainee, Shrewsbury


Kate is has been on our team as a Trainee for over 5 months and train's alongside our Advanced Senior Trainer Ola several times a week. She is able to offer training in a busy family environment with several dogs and has access to children, sheeps, pigs and chickens.  She is fortunate enough to have 2 acres of land for training.


She has experience training her family dog's, consisting of Spaniels, Husky's and Lurchers, and has had the opportunity to shadow gundog training classes. 



Verity Escott,GODT, ADIC/AS Advanced Senior Instructor. Littlehampton


Verity is one of our Advanced Senior Instructors and is a valued member of the team. Verity has a wealth of experience working with a variety of breeds and gets excellent results.  She 
provides realistic training in a quiet family orientated home environment, with one child of her own (4 yrs) and 2 dogs (Cockapoo and Pug).  She has access to local countryside walks and the beach


Verity gets excellent results with puppy's, adult dogs, rescue dogs, nervous dogs , assistance dogs and dogs with aggression to people and dogs. She also has experience working with dogs who lack motivation or who are difficult to train

Jolene Coates, GODT, ADIC/S Senior Instructor,  Littleport, Cambridgeshire

Jolene has recently joined our team as a Senior Trainer.

She is based in Cambridge and has been training dogs for 12 years, has a HNC in dog behaviour and training and is a member of the Kennel Club Accreditation Scheme and the Tellington Touch Guild.  Jolene also runs her own pet dog training and agility.

Isobel Buchanan, FdSc, Under Assessment for Junior Trainer, Dorset


Isobel is joining our team in June under assessment as a Junior level trainer and is about to complete her  BSc Hons in Animal Behaviour and Welfare. She has already completed her FDsc in Animal Behaviour & Welfare and has experience teaching dog training classes and one to one lessons.  


Izzy actively competes in agility with her own Border Collies and is continuing her professional development via attending courses and seminars.

Jenny Trigg, DipCABT, MGODT, PAACT, PPG, DTC AI

Jenny founded Adolescent Dogs in 2006 and is the driving force of the company. To date, she has helped to train over 8,000 dogs and their owners. Jenny offers positive training in a busy family home around children, cats and dogs. She has 2 acres of land at her home for training, as well as hundreds of acres of land backing off her property for walks.
