Sophie Brett, IMDT
New Trainer Southampton
Sophie has recently joined the Adolescent Dogs team and has experience assisting in dog training classes and a dog day care over the last 6 years. Sophie is a qualified instructor with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) and holds a Diploma in Animal Management.
Sophie offers residential training in her quiet home with no dogs of her own. She is lucky enough to live close to the New Forest, giving her access to plenty of forest walks as well as training around wild donkeys, horses, cows and pigs. She's also fortunate to be within driving distance of beaches and big cities, enabling her to offer a wide variety of training options.
Sophie is passionate about reward-based training and all of her training is done using treats, toys, games and lots of praise to ensure your dog enjoys their stay and learns effectively whilst maintaining high welfare standards. She is able to work in environments and situations suitable for each dog’s specific training needs, ensuring they receive the most personalised training.
Sophie regularly attends seminars and courses with some of the most world-renowned trainers and behaviourists to help with her continued professional development.
