Katie Brown, ADIC/S

Senior Instructor. Guildford, Surrey

Katie is one of our Senior Trainers and is a valued member of the team. She is also an assistant in our puppy training classes, so has experience working with a variety of breeds of dogs.   She benefits from access to the Directors 2 children (3 yrs & 6 yrs) for dogs who need training around kids, as well as their 2 dog savvy cats. She has 3 dogs of her own, an older Labrador, a calm Bassett mix and a Pug.

Katie is passionate about reward-based training and all of her training is done using treats, toys, games and lots of praise to ensure your dog enjoys their stay and learns effectively whilst maintaining high welfare standards.

Katie is also one of our volunteers for Hungary Hearts Dog Rescue, helping to rehabilitate street dogs from Hungary so that they can find a home.  She is an excellent match for puppies who need early socialisation and training, as well as older dogs who have specific training needs. Katie will always go the extra mile to ensure your dogs training is tailored to your specific needs and loves sending additional photos and videos during a stay to keep your mind at ease.

“Worked magic with our puppy Bandit” Written on: 01/05/2018 by arundec

"Whem we made the decision to bring a puppy home, we wanted to give him the very best start - we are first-time dog owners and although we are 100% dedicated to Bandit's training, we had no experience! This was when we decided to use the Find and Train service from Adolescent Dogs - and now we have Bandit home with us, we have no regrets at all (even though some of our friends and family were dubious!) - we have a perfectly trained, happy puppy who is a joy to be around - and its all thanks to his trainer and the team at Adolescent Dogs. We are so happy we went down this route - Bandit loves his trainer - he was so excited to see her when we did our handover sessions - and its reassuring to know that while he is having his training, he is living in a family home and being taken care of. We also really enjoyed the handover sessions and learned so much ourselves - Bandit responds really well to us and he continues to be lovely to be around. Thank you so much!!"

“Amazing experience!” Written on: 16/11/2017 by epgbrights

"We have been so happy with the training that our 5 month old Whippet puppy received. We couldn't have asked for a better trainer or experience. The person I dealt with was incredible and took care of Winnie as if she was her own. It was so comforting to know that she was being loved and looked after so well (and learning great behaviour in the process). I have been singing your praises to lots of friends since we have had Winnie back. I am grateful for all of your help and support. You provide a fantastic service and we feel that the money was well spent."

“Excellent!” Written on: 06/11/2017 by RufusTheBeagle

"Our 7 month old Beagle recently returned home to us after 4 weeks residential training with Katie. What can I say? This trainer is absolutely brilliant. She did an excellent job training Rufus and was so supportive throughout the whole process. She remains incredibly responsive and has even texted me from her holiday post-handover – more than once! I have to confess that I was a little sceptical at first as, despite our efforts, we weren't making any real progress with Rufus at home and everyone said that Beagles were impossible to train but this trainer proved them all wrong! Rufus will now recall, do the emergency stop, walk nicely on a lead, heel and respond to all the commands on the syllabus. I don’t feel that the trainer or Adolescent Dogs could have done anything better. We very much feel that we received a 5 star service and we will continue to recommend this trainer (and Adolescent Dogs) to everyone we come across."
