Results - Dogs are unpredictable by nature. We cannot guarantee that your dog will make improvements, nor can we guarantee that your dog won’t revert back to old behaviours and habits once home.  The training we put in place is designed to be foundations only, and will not return a fully trained dog to you. You must be willing and able to commit to carrying on with the training that is put in place here.  You can achieve this by attending the free aftercare that is available to you, or by paying a local trainer to help you with carrying on with training.

Owner training - You and your family will receive essential training at the end of your dogs stay.  Our instructors will provide one to one coaching to ensure that your dog learns to respond to you once home.  First, your instructor will demonstrate everything that your dog has learnt, then they'll go through each exercise step by step to make sure you can get the same results.  A follow up lesson is provided free of charge should you need extra help. You'll also receive a handover manual and video to reference back to in case you forget anything.  Your instructor will be on hand for free advice via email and phone for up to 12 months after.

GOLD 5 to 6 weeks  (35 to 42 days)       *BEST RESULTS*

In week 5 and 6 there is nothing new for your dog to learn. Now we can start to build hundreds of successful repetitions of your dog responding to commands when under heavy distraction. The more repetitions we can put in place, the weaker the old unwanted behaviours become, and the stronger the new behaviours become, making this the easiest level of training to keep up once home.  You can choose up to 15 exercises to be taught in a 6 week stay or more.

This length of stay is also recommended if you have a very challenging dog or a dog with aggression issues and you want to achieve SILVER results.

Please see theFAQ page to see what to expect from training.

After training - It can take up to 4 weeks for your dog to fully understand that the training that has been put in place here will still apply once they are home. All dogs will naturally try to revert back to old behaviours when they return home and will sometimes try harder to get a response for these behaviours. You may find that your dog will initially seem worse upon their return home. However, as long as you are consistent with following through with the training, your dog will begin to understand that the new training applies everywhere.  Over the 4 week period, your dog will start to respond to you more, show less of the unwanted behaviours and then respond to you the same way they did with their trainer. You will need to commit to attending a minimum of 2 handover lessons with your trainer (or minimum 6 if you aren't seeing results). If you need help, you can book additional lessons with your trainer for up to 8 weeks after the stay free of charge (as long as you travel to your trainer). Many owners need more than the 2 handover lessons to obtain the skills and knowledge needed to maintain their dogs training.  50% of the training that we do here is with your dog, but the other 50% is with the owners.  It is important to us that the training stays in place after your dog has returned home, so you must be able to commit your time to working with your trainer.  You will  need to be committed to putting several months of work into your dog yourself in order to see long term results.

We stand by our excellent training and we offer a full six month back up service free of charge.  If you experience any difficulties once your dog has gone home, we will get together completely free of charge and show you how to get back on track.

It doesn't matter how many of the issues above your dog is displaying.  Our length of stay recommendation is based on how reliable you'd like the training to be once your dog returns home. The recommendations below are for dogs who stay 7 days a week.  Those staying for 5 day weeks will need to match the number of days below to achieve the same results.

Multi dog households - If you have more than one dog that you'd like to send in for training, then be prepared for lots of hard work!  The number of week recommendations above are for each dog individually.  First we must establish a good level of training for each dog on their own. Once a good level of training is in place (after 4 weeks), we can start to teach the dogs how to respond together. This takes a further 2 to 3 weeks, with ongoing training to be expected. If your dogs are showing aggression, then longer will likely be needed.  You will need to be prepared to walk and train your dogs separately until you feel confident with each dog individually.  This could take several months. If your dogs are reactive, there is a possibility that they will always need to be walked separately.

BRONZE -  2 weeks (14 days)

The core commands are taught to a basic level with a low level of reliability around distractions. You can choose 5 commands to be taught in a 2 week stay, which can include down, emergency stop, stay, leave, door manners, recall, loose lead walking, heel, meeting people without jumping, send to bed, settle in public places, settle at home, issues with barking, toilet training etc.

The perfect start to your training to enable you to carry on yourself to achieve a higher level of reliability

 SILVER - 3 to 4 weeks (21 to 28 days)  *MOST POPULAR*

In week 3, we start to build reliability to responding to the core commands when around distractions, and this is further proofed in week 4.  This length of stay is ideal if you need your dog to be more responsive when around other dogs and other distractions.  In 4 weeks, the focus is on achieving a good level of control when your dog is at a distance from you, and when in a variety of distracting environments.  A minimum of 4 weeks is needed for any reactivity towards dogs.

You can pick 8 exercises to be taught in a 3 week stay, and 12 in a 4 week stay.
