Doggy Day Care & Boarding
Romeo the 14 week old Chinese Crested meeting 5 year old Staffie Indie

Our doggy day care and boarding service (Home Pet Sitting) is a personal service offered by the head trainer Jenny Trigg at Adolescent Dogs. This personal service allows your dog to be cared for by a professional who will look after your dog as if they were her own.

We also have the facilities and knowledge to take care of your small animals: lizards, snakes,  rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs and other small furries.

Ideal for

  • Puppies as young as 6 weeks before vaccinations

  • Small to large sized dogs of any age or temprement.
  • Day boarding or overnight boarding if you are going away on holiday.

    Benefits

  • You specify your dog's walking, feeding and sleeping pattern etc, and we keep the routine the same.

  • Your dog will receive up to 2 walks every day and for as long as you specify.  This can either be on lead or off lead depending on your preferences.

  • We limit how many dogs we take in at any one time, so your dog will receive plenty of one to one attention.

  • If you have any special requests, please ask.  We are happy to follow any house rules you have set for your dog.  i.e. If your dog is allowed on the sofa and sleeps in your bed, that's fine with us!  We like to keep your dogs routine the same.   If your dog has special dietry requirements or needs medication, please discuss this with us and we'll see what we can do.

  • Dogs will be covered by third party liability insurance, but we recommend that you take out your own pet insurance to cover illness or injury as vet bills will be re-claimed when you return from your holiday.

  • We are happy to take in dogs with toilet training problems or any other training problems, including aggression.  Please note, you will need to book in advance for dog aggression so that your dog is not housed with any other dogs.  An additional fee is charged for this service.

  • If you would like your dog to be taken to the groomers for a bath or clip before you return, please let us know and we can arrange this as required, at cost.

    Extras

Because we are a dog training school, we are happy to take in dogs with training problems.  We do charge a small additional fee for the extra time we will be spending with your dog.  However, there are very few dog boarders who will allow any dogs with training issues into their homes.

    • If your dog barks, whines or destroys the house when left, we can help start a programme to solve this issue.
    • Does your dog or puppy still toilet in the house? No problem. We will spend the time necessary to teach your dog where he should be going to the toilet using kind methods!
    • If your dog has a poor recall or pulls on the lead, we can also put in the time to help move this along. However, there are no quick fixes on this one!  You may want to consider a one to one after the course to provide you with some additional help.
    • We can also teach your dog some general manners, such as not racing out of the front door, not jumping up at visitors, staying calm at home and when out, how to play fetch, any household rules etc.
    • Is your dog aggressive?  We are happy to take in dogs with aggression issues. However you will need to book in advance for any boarding so that we can make sure that your dog is not living with any other dogs.  Price is doubled to allow your dog to be on his own, plus £10 per day to manage the issues.
