Aggressive dogs cannot be accepted. Problems such as biting people or other dogs cannot be improved in a class situation and is likely to make the behaviour worse. If you are uncertain of your dogs suitability for a class environment, please contact us to arrange a One to One Assessment prior to the submission of your Enrolment Form. In the unlikely event that your dog is deemed to be unsuited to the class once the course has started and we had not assessed the dog prior, you will not be able to continue and we regret no refund will be available.
The Beginners Class is not the place to 'socialise' your dog. The aim is to teach your dog to respond to you even when there are other dogs around. If your dog has socialisation issues, we recommend you join some of our weekly Social Walks.
Your place on the course will be confirmed by e-mail. If you do not have e-mail or require written confirmation, please ask us and we will post the confirmation to your home address.
We do not offer refunds once you have booked and paid for your place on a course. Please ensure that you have chosen the right course for you and your dog before booking. If you are unsure if this course is right for you, please contact us before filling out the enrollment form as mistakes cannot be recified later.
Fees/places are not transferable.
What to bring Wear comfortable clothing and be prepared to get dirty! Wear flat, comfortable shoes (high heels and flip flops are a hazard in classes) Bring your dog on a well fitted collar and standard lead (no retractables please and no harnesses) Bring your dogs favourite toy (put this away when not training as this will increase the value of the toy) Bring Poo bags (in case your dog toilets) Grooming equipment (you will need to learn how to handle and groom your dog) Bring an up to date vaccination certificate for your dog to the first class.
Rules for class If your dog is ill for whatever reason or comes into season, please leave your dog at home and come to the class by yourself. You will still learn the necessary exercises for that week to practise at home. If you are going to miss a session for whatever reason, please let us know as soon as possible. (dont just not show up). You will need to arrange a one to one session (at cost) to catch up on missed classes. You are more than welcome to bring children to class, but they MUST be well behaved. We reserve the right to remove anyone from the class if their children are being a nuisance. Children running around the class out of control is dangerous for both themselves and the dogs around them. Please turn up to class on time. Late arrivals disrupts the rest of the group who have already settled in (on time). Please dont bring treats to the class. If we feel these are needed, they will be provided for you by the instructor.
We recommend you print off this page before you send the booking form so that you know what to bring to class.
We look forward to seeing you and your dog soon.
