Choosing a course

If you'd like to bring your dog to training classes, but don't know where to start, here are some ideas for you:

Puppy 1

The Puppy 1 class is a combination of puppy socialisation, basic training and solving puppy behaviour problems.

Puppy 1 is open to puppy's between 8 weeks and 20 weeks old and we recommend starting puppy classes as early as possible.  Your puppy should have had his first vaccinations as a minimum and permission from your vet to socialise with other vaccinated dogs.  Puppy 2 & 3 advanced classes are open to all graduates of Puppy 1.

Adolescent / Adult course

The Adolescent course is open to all dogs over 20 weeks of age who have not had any training, or who need a brush up on the basics.  The course covers the same material as Puppy 1, with some added 'adolescent' exercises such as 'jazz up and settle down'.  There is no upper age limit and graduates can move onto Puppy 2 regardless of age.

Puppy 2 Advanced

Puppy 2 class is a combination of advanced training, distance control, distraction training and socialisation.

Puppy 2 Advanced class is the next level up from a beginners class.  So this class is open to all graduates of Puppy 1 or the Adolescent course.   Despite being called 'Puppy 2', there is no upper age limit and those who have completed basic training elsewhere can also enroll.  Students are then recommended to move onto Puppy 3 Unleashed.

Puppy 3 Unleashed

Puppy 3 class is the ultimate off lead control.  Putting together everything learnt in Puppy 1 and 2, this class will show you how to gain more control when your dog is off lead and at a distance around distractions.

Puppy 3 is open to all graduates of the Puppy 2 class.

Puppy 4 Great Outdoors

Puppy 4 class is the ultimate off lead control outdoors.  Putting together everything learnt in Puppy 3, this class will show you how to gain more control when your dog is off lead outdoors and in a realistic environment.  We train in the woods and in town, not in a field.

Puppy 4 is open to all graduates of the Puppy 3 class.

Outdoor Workshops

The Outdoor Workshops are a great supplement to all of the indoor training groups

We recommend attending these workshops alongside your weekly training class right from the start of Puppy 1.  The workshops are pay as you go, so you can turn up as you like.  They will provide you with extra help with outdoor training problems such as poor recall, pulling on the lead and jumping up at people.  No previous training is required and non-students can also attend.

Canine Detectives

These fun classes are a great way to unwind and to provide your dog with essential mental stimulation.  They are only open to students of Puppy 3 and above, or those who have achieved a high level of training with their dogs.  Classes include: Scentwork, high and low searches, finding games, rally-o style courses, fun tricks, obedience, activity games such as relay races, competitions, dog quiz nights and more.

Dog Boot Camp

We can train your dog for you!

No it's not lazy, it's actually a very good way to kick start your dogs training or to get help with any training or behaviours that you are having difficulty with.  We are so confident with our training that we offer a lifetime guarantee!

Private Lessons

If other commitments mean that you cannot get to classes, we offer 121 lessons in your home.

We can come to you and work with you and your dog at home or at your local park.  The great thing about 121 lessons is that we can work on more specific training or behaviour problems on location.
