ADOLESCENT DOGS - Puppy 4 Great Outdoors Off Lead Control Outdoors
About Puppy 4 We run classes at Ash Ranges. Puppy 4 is off lead control outdoors and with distractions. Who is it for? Puppy 4 Great Outdoors works alongside the Puppy 3 Unleashed class. Despite being called Puppy 4, there is no upper age limit and those who have completed training to the level of Puppy 3 elsewhere can also sign up. When to start? It is recommended that you book onto Puppy 4 as soon as your dog has started Puppy 3. What we teach Puppy 4 will teach your dog discipline and control when off lead and around distractions when outside.

Your dog will learn: - Emergency Stop - when your dog is chasing another dog or a jogger
- Recall first time when on a walk
- Walk on a loose lead without pulling - at the start of a walk!
- Chasing Recall - call your dog away from chasing a dog, jogger, rabbit
- Recall away from playing with another dog
- Recall to heel away from play
- Off lead Jumping Up prevention
- Instant Sits or Downs at a distance
- Off lead Impulse Control
- Walking to heel off lead around distractions
- Rock Solid Stays with moving dog distractions
Part 4 will help you to continue with training learnt in Puppy 3, as well as extending the exercises to include more realistic distractions and training scenarios. We help you to teach your adolescent dog to be calmer, more attentive and to be more willing to respond to commands quickly and happily.
Class Structure Puppy 4 is off lead and in the woods, not in a training field. The idea of Puppy 4 is to make the training as realistic as possible!
We run Puppy 4 as an ongoing course to ensure that you have plenty of time to practise with your dog outdoors in a structured and controllable setting.
